The Lion and Antelope is an airport pub in Manchester (past security, Terminal 3) that offers the usual range of burgers, salads and other pub grub at notably elevated prices. I had the "Ultimate Burger", and it was a decent offering. Of course, the burger meat was a convenience product, but juicy enough, and the fries that came with it were crispy and well-cooked. The bun, too, was a notch above the usual soft-sponge quality. I have to commend the fast service: The burger arrived within less than ten minutes after I'd ordered it from the bar - and the pub was packed at the time. A few real ales are on offer, along with the usual range of national and international lagers. Although this is an "open-area" pub, it was not too loud and actually quite nice to sit there. As airport joints go, a cut above the norm.

Of course its an airport eatery so one doesn't expect too much, and its not like you have many alternates for hot food, but i'd skip this place and get a cold sandwich from Smith's or Boots.
Horrible. -

The Lion and Antelope is quite a cool bar in Manchester's T3, it serves food and alcohol too and is one of the better places to go before your flight from the dreaded, evil Terminal 3 alongside Trattoria Milano, as I was heading to Italy and I didn't want Italian food until I got there (I hate having too much of one cuisine), I decided to call in here as it is more British cuisine.
I ordered egg and beans, as I wanted to get a breakfast, with my flight being at about 6:30am, it was priced at a reasonable price, especially for an airport costing £6. I also grabbed an Apple juice, which was pretty standard.
The staff seemed okay and has basic knowledge of gluten and told me it will be okay, as egg and beans should be.
My food took quite a while to come, which was frustrating, with me being in a rush to get to my gate, eventually I had to get my food packaged to go, I shouldn't have to do this, especially for something as simple as 2 fried egg with beans. They did fill my request and it was served in a box.
My food was quite nice, but it is hard to mess up eggs and beans (Tesco Cafe can do it though!) The beans tasted good quality and I did like the eggs too.
They could do with more seating here, as people use this as a cut through and it can feel quite hard to get a seat, even at 6am in the morning and before that, so with it not having a store and just being in empty space in the airport, that can be a problem but overall this is a nice place and something to be cheerful for, when having to travel in the dreaded terminal. -

Not a bad option for food and drink at Manchester Airport T3 but tbh they're probably not going to be expecting the Michelin inspectors to be calling any time soon!
They serve very quick, very generic pub grub which is a lot better than the stuff you used to get at airports if the truth be known. On this occasion I went for a bacon sandwich with a sausage chaser one and both hit the spot (they only serve breakfast up to 1130am)
It's basically always rammed and you get everything at an airport bar, stag do's sunseekers, international peeps - I actually find it really interesting people watching from here.
Sky sports news is always on in the bar, fairly generic/poor selection of beers - the MPA is the best option which says a lot unfortunately... -

Wehhhh so bland and mediocre and really high prices :( Ino its an airport but can nobody do good food in these type of places?! I should have just gone to Burger King! Staff are friendly but spend more time talking to each other than looking at the customers. They only take euros if it's small notes no fiftys or twentys.
